Bharatiya Ramanuj Ganitholsav

About the National Mathematics Week Initiative

The Bharatiya Ramanuja Ganitholsavam 2026 is a National Mathematics Week Initiative organized to celebrate National Mathematics Day (December 22) in honour of the great Indian mathematician Shri Srinivasa Ramanujan, whose remarkable contributions continue to inspire generations of learners across the globe.

This national-level mathematics festival is conceived as a vibrant platform to promote mathematical thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity among school students across India. Through inter-school competitions such as Elocution, Poster Design, and the Innovation Day Mathematical Exhibition, the initiative aims to make mathematics engaging, experiential, and joyful for every learner.

The event is being organized in alignment with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Vision 2047 for a Viksit Bharat, the Atmanirbhar Bharat Mission, and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes creative, hands-on, and inclusive education.

By connecting students, teachers, and educational institutions across the country, this initiative seeks to:

  • Encourage innovative and logical thinking in young minds.
  • Bridge traditional and modern approaches to mathematics.
  • Celebrate India’s mathematical heritage.
  • Inspire future innovators in science, technology, and research.

Mathematics for Everyone — this vision drives the Bharatiya Ramanuja Ganitholsavam 2026, as India moves towards building a knowledge-driven, self-reliant nation by 2047.
